Create the cutting line as a separate vector path above the artwork. The line should be clearly recognizable and closed. It must not consist of a pixel graphic.
The contour should not be intended as a visible printed element, but solely define the cutting line.
1. Create a new layer above your artwork.
2. Create the desired shape using the path tool.
3. Define a spot color in 100% magenta and name it βCβ.
4. Apply the spot color exclusively to the contour of the created shape.
5. Make sure that the contour is set to βOverprintβ.
6. Export the file as a PDF in X-3 format.
