You need a cut contour if you want your sticker to have a custom shape, for example with logo stickers, lettering with an outer contour, stickers in special shapes, or designs without a rectangular background.
For simple rectangular, square, round, or oval stickers, a separate cut contour is usually not necessary as long as the format is clearly specified.
