Even with digital printing, fonts and lines should not be designed too finely. Very small text or thin lines may appear faint in print or be difficult to read from a normal viewing distance.
As guidelines, we recommend:
- fonts at least 6 pt
- dark lines on a light background at least 0.5 pt
- light lines on a dark background at least 1.0 pt
For vehicle stickers, not only the technical printability but also the legibility on the vehicle later on should be taken into account. Telephone numbers, web addresses and important information should be designed significantly larger than information intended as fine print.
