What is the difference between raster graphics and vector graphics?

Allgemeine Druckdaten

A raster graphic is made up of individual pixels. Typical formats include JPG, PNG, TIFF, or PSD. Raster graphics are well-suited for photos but can become blurry when significantly enlarged.
A vector graphic consists of lines, curves, and shapes. It can be scaled without any loss of quality and is ideal for logos, lettering, pictograms, contour cuts, and vinyl plotting.
